How can teenagers lose weight?

i am 13 years old and i need to lose weight! i am 5'4 and weight like 140 pounds. i really need help i hate feeling fat when almost all of my friends are skinny. i cant wear a bikini or half the clothes i want to. please help?How can teenagers lose weight?
First of all, 5'4'; and 140 is a healthy weight - it's not fat. You are on the higher end of the ';healthy'; scale, but you are also tall for your age... it will settle out with good nutrition and exercise.





At 13 your metabolism is still high, so there are several things you can do. First, if possible, eat several small snacks throughout the day instead of large meals. This keeps your metabolism high. Second, drink lots of water. At first it may add water weight, but water helps you digest better, meaning you get nutrients but don't keep as much of the weight gain that could come with it. Third, exercise! 30 minutes a day of legitimate exercise helps keep your metabolism up and works on those pounds you already have. Focus on slimming exercises - light weights, walking/running, biking, elliptical, etc. Sit-ups and other ab exercises are great too. Good luck!How can teenagers lose weight?

My advice is to become vegan or vegetarien for a bit. It makes you think about what you eat a lot more :)


I dunno but I lost 5 pounds a week :P
eat healthier foods and try avoiding junk foods


play a team sport so you hav fun while exercising
Exercise-- try 30 minutes 4-5 times a week... get your heart rate up and eat healthy
