I've always wondered why I parents are slow to understand teenagers?

I don't think we're all that complicated. What does anyone else think?I've always wondered why I parents are slow to understand teenagers?
Parents only want what is best for you. At the same time parents also understand that these are the years that you as an indivdual are starting to understand who you are and how you will turn out in the future. If your parents do not understand you, then you and your parents should do something that few people seem to do these days, Talk.

This is not a confrontation, this is you explaining what you want in a clear tone that is level. Explaine your point of view from your perspective. Be prepared to defend your position with reason and listen to what their objections are, then address them in a reasonable way.

This will help you understand what they are thinking and why they have concerns, then it is up to you to alleviate their concerns with a reasond and sound discussion.

You will benefit and they will as well, I know I did this with my children and even thought they had a sound argument, they were not always in the right. The same went for me as their dad, I was not always right as well.

So you allow your teenagers some latitude and compromise, with that also come responsibility for your actions, with responsibility there is accounability, if you truly need something or ask for something, remember if it is approved you must abide by your agreement.

If you do this, your parents will not see you as complicated, they will see you as a responsible person who can be trusted to make sound decissions, with that comes more choices and a great relationship with your parents.

Good Luck

PeaceI've always wondered why I parents are slow to understand teenagers?
Don't know after all they used to be teenagers themselves

They spoke slang and listened to music that ';Your mother wouldn't like';
no matter what decade or century we live in, parents will never ';understand';, thats because of the generation gap. most parents were their kids' age twenty to 40 years ago when things were a lot different, and different things were acceptable, and not acceptable.know what i mean?
A part of it is not really listening. parents try to listen, but sometimes in the back of their mind they are making a check list of everything they need to do.
i think parents think that since they used to be teenagers, they understand exactly what we're going through, but things have changed and our parents expect us to do things they used to do but now look down upon.
i think that it is just that they do not want you to make the same mistakes that they made growing up.
Being a teenager once myself...yes, teenagers are complicated. Emotional, raging hormones, trying to establish individuality and autonomy, sex, frontal lobe not quite yet fully developed...I could go on. It's not that they don't understand you, it's they don't want you making the same mistakes they did. They look back and slap their foreheads saying, ';what was I thinking?';
Parents understand teenagers. They just dont want to show it :-) just in case they are asked to agree too
trust me, they arent slow. it may seem that way, trust me i know. the only thing is they are trying to keep you safe, and to teach you whats right in life. so im may seem otherwise
Haha well. most people have different mentallity. they think and see things in a different perspective.

Anyways. im sure they(ur parents) know what its like to be a teenager cuz they were once a teen too.

As you see more things around u and get experiences u will understand. And of course u muz look things in 2 different direction. your self and others. esp your parents.

(: all you need to do is just think and understand. you will soon get it . :D everyone will wan things to go their way.
Wait until you're an adult... you'll see.
I think you have it backwards. Teenagers don't understand what adults understand, that they've lived through adolescence, and so much more.

You need to trust that adults actually DO know what they're talking about.
I think communication is key. My parents stopped, or really didn't ever keep the lines open, and when teen years came - I rebelled and they looked the other way. I will not do that to my kids. Teens need more love - not less.
That is your misconception... we totally understand you teens.. You teens just dont want to listen to the parents who know a heck of a lot more than you do..

You guys are way too busy thinking you know everything, and thinking that your experiences are somehow complex and special when infact they are in the grand scheme of life totally unimportant.

You kids seem to forget that us parent were teenagers too, and there is nothing you do or think about that we havent already done or thought about.

You think we dont understand you, but all we are trying to do is to protect you from doing or having something done to you that is bad or wrong... Like I said we have done it already and made those same mistakes, and we want to protect you.

Trust me, you are definitely not complicated.. You guys are so easy to read, its almost funny.

If you feel like you arent understood, its because you dont like what you are hearing. It goes against what you want instead of what is best.

You should listen to your parents, for they know alot more than you, and when you are even a few years olderm you will know a ton more too... Then a few years after that... even more.

You will understand when you decide to be a parent, and you will be sending sincere apologies to your parents, because you will finally get it.

With life comes experience, and with experinec comes knowledge.
It's not that they're slow to understand. It's that they're terrified you'll make the same mistakes they made when they were your age. They want to protect you from that rather than watch you go through the same agony.

Are teenagers aloud to live with people who are under 25 in the US?

of course. I graduated and moved out when I was 17. I lived with another teenager. At the age of 18 you can basically do as you please even though your parents are technically responsible until your 21. Under 18 and your parents have much more say.Are teenagers aloud to live with people who are under 25 in the US?
Depends in which context. A 13 year old shouldn't live with her 24 year old boyfriend. But I used to live with my sister and her husband during the summers starting when I was 14 and she was 22. She always wanted me to come live with her permanently (but of course I stayed with my mom during the school year). Are teenagers aloud to live with people who are under 25 in the US?
Yes, of course ( under certain conditions ); My 24 year old grandson is married to a 19 year old girl/woman !
Depends on the circumstances. You didn't give any details, so I can not answer.
    very vague, details?
    yes
    yes

Should teenagers in your countery be required to do community service?

(yes).. if you agree with me, please tell me three reasons, with some detailsShould teenagers in your countery be required to do community service?
Volunteering in community projects is a great way for a family to spend time together while helping others. Even a child as young as 4 can help sort clothes and clean so a teen would bring a lot of skills to the community. It gives teens a realistic view of the world in issues like health, poverty, mental illness, and politics. Yes all teens need to be in programs to serve and it needs to start at about age 10.Should teenagers in your countery be required to do community service?
    NO.

    defiantly not!!!

i mean just think 'bout it for while what if they really hate the spefic duty they assingened too it would be tourtoure

anyway laws are not for forceing stuff but rather of liberating people and keeping them safe.

go live in a nazi/cominist place and learn what ';required'; means when it comes to work.
no only if they broke the law or somethin other than that its stupid
Where I live, 100 hours of community service must be done to graduate.
if said teenagers do not respect the law, if they abuse elders,

children or animals or property not belonging to them. They should have to do comunity service. If they break curfews, if

they are disrepectful to their families, teachers, ministers, police. They should do community service. If they deliberately

do harm to any living person or thing. If they vandalize anything not belonging to them. We need to clean the neighborhoods of disrepectful people, be they teens or adults. Let's all work to make our atreets safe again.
In Ontario Canada, teenagers in school are in fact required to do community service in order to graduate. I don't remember the number of hours, but it is a certain number you have to complete.

I think this is done to get teenagers more involved in the community and to give them more responsibility and respect for the world around them.
    Agree

    1. Teaches civic responsibility

    2. Exposes students to rewards of volunteering

    3. Taps into the tremendous talents of America's youths

How can I, a straight male teacher, make my classes more welcoming to LBGT teenagers?

They don't seem to have ';safe havens'; anywhere at our school. I teach Chemistry, Physics, and (perhaps, next year) Geometry. Gaybashing is rampant here. I don't even like to hear ';That's so gay,'; although it's difficult to get straight teens to understand why. Any suggestions would be welcome. How can I, a straight male teacher, make my classes more welcoming to LBGT teenagers?
Make your classroom a safe haven. Ensure that you have a no-tolerance policy regarding hate filled language, including ';that's so gay.'; Also include a no-tolerance policy for hate filled activities such as teasing and physical violence in that policy. Make sure the kids in your class can come to your class and know that, at least while they are with you, that they won't be teased, made fun of, etc... You could also be the faculty sponsor of a Gay-Straight Alliance student organization. How can I, a straight male teacher, make my classes more welcoming to LBGT teenagers?
    (1) The most important thing to do is to absolutely allow no sexist jokes, gay-bashing or any type of bashing in your classroom. If a student even hints at something akin to this, stop him in his tracks and do so publicly.

    (2) Do not single out a gay person or any other type of person you sort of suspect might be LGBT. Treat everyone the same.

    (3) Don't label someone LGBT when you have no proof that they are. Quite frankly, if you saw some of these student twenty or thirty years from now, you might be surprised at who was actually LGBT and who was actually straight.

    (4) Realize that you are not the school psychologist -- don't talk about things in class you know nothing about. Stick to your areas of expertise. Just don't allow anyone to be abused in your classroom. Do not allow teasing of any kind.
depending on how strict your school is about ';teaching to the test,'; i bet you could find a lesbian/gay scientist or mathematician whose life story you could tell in class...the only one coming to me at this instant is alan turing, but he's better suited to a computer science class.

it's awesome that you are setting out to do this, and you will accomplish more than you know just by prohibiting homophobic slurs in your classroom and letting students know you're available, in general, if they ever want to talk.
During lunch break, let your students know that you will eat in the classroom and tell them that they are welcome to join you if they have any reason to be uncomfortable eating in the cafeteria. This is an opening to more conversation about their home life, whether they are LGBT, abused, etc.

When you hear ';That's so gay';, tell the student saying it that they shouldn't be saying that. If they question you, tell them why.

Tell your students that you want to help them outside of the period times and will always be open to listening to their concerns and trying to help them.
I think everytime someone is embarrassing to someone else you could intertwine and say that you don't accept that; not in your class, not at this school, not in your city but just everywhere. Why should they, do they feel stronger. You could tell them it says something about the person itselves when he/she says nasty things. But no, that isn't a good solution.

ehmm, if a gaybasher is hurting someone you could say something about that, and after lesson or so you could step to that gayperson and ask if he/she is ok. And if he/she ever needs help you will be there for the gaycommunity. If they ever have strugglings or so you want to support them. And I think that person will talk about that with gayfriends and if they don't come to you, you always can ask them if everything is ok, or if they have suggestions
Well the ';that's gay'; is stupid, it seems to have ballooned up, and will stop soon, it's just a speech thing. I hate it, but I know it'll die down.

Anyways, I think maybe you should work to get more change in the entire school. Maybe get a non-discrimination policy in there. Or have some form of a gay speaker, talking about the issues so that kids understand that being gay isn't such a bad thing.
Just treat them exactly as you treat any other attentive student. And make it a strict policy that there will be no derogatory remarks in your class room about anyone. But do draw your battle lines carefully: Making a big deal out of ';that's so gay'; may be overkill, although I do know what you're getting at.
Straight teens wanna be mainstream. To teens, gays and lesbians just aren't. You're best bet is to just talk to your class about where to go to receive help, guidance, and inform the straight ones about how it would feel to be made fun of. Coming from a straight person, thats the best I could do.

    Good Luck!
Make your class a safe haven for the GLBT community by offering it as a place where they can go at lunch and at break and so forth. Also, you should lay down the lay in your class room that gay bashing will not be tolerated. About the comments like ';that's so gay'; and so on... I feel, and you don't have to agree with me, but I think that this phrase has changed over time. At my school people would say that all of the time and we didn't think anything of it because it wasn't a bash, it was an expression.
If your serious about this, maybe help the students start a Gay-Straight Alliance in your school. Once the students learn your a open minded teacher, they might open up to you.
Perhaps, when you're teaching, you can tie in some LBGT anecdotes from your past (if you know/are friends with any LGBT people) if it fits in with the topic at hand, or you could give ';life lessons'; at the end of your period. That's exactly what my chemistry teacher did for us on several occasions! She would tell the girls not to let guys abuse them for the remaining 20 minutes of class, or she would tell us about how she got a golf-ball size of potassium from a friend and threw it into her ex-husband's pool when he was with his mistress, sending them both into a frenzy because the pool was a-blaze, or how she should've killed her ex-husband when she caught him in bed with her then-best friend (still not sure if she was joking or not on the whole ';should've killed him'; thing...)

Anyway, just say something off-hand to your classes to let them know that you're cool with the LGBT community, y'know? You don't have to announce it over the PA system, and you don't have to jump on a bandwagon and make people suspect that you're gay, but just hang a poster on your wall *subtly* implying that you support the LGBT community. In this way, gay people will understand it, and the administration won't ask you to remove it should a straight person complain, y'know?
That's tough given the curriculum. Maybe you could just let it be known that it takes all kinds of combinations of chemicals to make a reaction, some are good, others are volatile. No one want volatile in their face. It's not healthy to the whole. We all interact but we have to be careful not to mix certain things so we don't blow ourselves up. Let them know that some minerals are rare and sought after just like gay is rare and well, not sought after but people fight over the two nonetheless. Makes no difference, they are both there, a fact of life and not worthly of argument. Then tell them that two wrongs don't make a right, but three lefts do. I hope this helps.
gay makes life complicated. you wonder if you can take off your clothes off in females changing room without the other starting to look.

Is there pear prussure in schools for teenagers to have sex?

Do they make fun if you are virgins.?

How teens cope with such pressure?

What should we do as parents? Is there pear prussure in schools for teenagers to have sex?
Yes, there is peer pressure to have sex...for some kids.

As parents, we should have already done what we can do well before they get into high school and experience that pressure. We should have made sure they understand sex, firstly. We should have given them a sense of what's right and wrong. We should have taught them how to make good decisions. We should have taught them about the value of self-respect. If kids have these skills, then they will make the right decisions for themselves.

There's not much we can do for them once they're more independent and are making these decisions on their own. What we can do at that point is make sure that they know they can safely talk to us and ask us for advice...if they want to. We should also make sure that if they don't want to talk to us, they know where they can go to talk to another adult, like a school counsellor or a trusted relative.

And then we sit back and hope that they use the skills we've tried to give them. And be supportive if they make a mistake. Is there pear prussure in schools for teenagers to have sex?
ok well im only a kid and i doubt any of what im going to say will help....but it might......im in middle skool.....and theres not much peer pressure there....noone makes fun of me for being a virgin but probably becuz almost my whole grade is.....my dad is not strict at all but when it comes to this kinda stuff theres no telling what will happen.......hell do whatever he can to stop this if i was ever sexualy active or if i gave my virginity away at a young age......iv messed p my life at points and regret doing some stuff to but it all in the passed soooo i dont worry about.........if i were a parent i would let my kids do what they want in there life as far as that......and if the did it at a young age......then ok.....its there fault......and if they do the right thing and dont do then thats great.....i know it seems funny cuz im only a kid but oh well i helped
no your children should keep to their own values
Don't go blaming it all on the pears! They're tasty and good for you.
I dont know but i wish all the kids would sort their feckin spelling out. its awfull.

    plus how can they be having sex if the are all on here asking stupid questions like '; theres this boy/girl in my class i like and she/he said this and i said that and someone else said something else and i said this back and he said blah blah blah blah blah';

    Yahoo is flooded with them!!!!!!
As parents you have a serious responsibility. Its is probly one of the hardest jobs you will ever have. You must sit down an explain your position on sexual matters. Having a heart to heart talk and getting your kids view on the matter. Then tactfully yet firmly explain that you do not have to worry about anyone making fun of you or wanting you to have sex. Explain the other side of sex could lead to unwanted pregnancy and other STD diseases that might not go away. Being pure until marriage is one of the most beautifull things he/she can due.

Sex is overated. But sexual relation between two people who are emotionally mature and in love is something special. Tell your kids not to worry and they can stand tall because of their values. And down the road other areas like drugs and many other things people get into, will not be a problem because they sey NO NOW to peer pressure. Best Wishes. Never Give Up!!!
they never did in my school. it was barely a subject of discussion - or maybe i wasnt hanging with those sorts of people. either way, i was never pressured into sex - it's sad that others dont have the prescence of mind to do what is right for themselves, not what their friends think they should be doing.
yes there is a lot of peer pressure in schools for teenagers to have sex

they do make fun of you with name calling and things like that

as long as they ignore it and don't give in to it then they will be fine.

as a parent just explain in detail the consequences of having sex and the responsibilities it would put on them.
Yes all I hear about at school is sex.

But to be honest I just have a go back at them if I get called names for being a virgin.

There isn't much parents can do, this wasn't very helpful but yes there is peer pressure.

And I would like to say that I am a teenager and I can SPELL!! :@:@:@:@
I'm with victor on this - some of the people posting questions on here should learn to spell first. Some of the goobbledegook that passes for questions is horrendous.

What is a good starter guitar for teenagers?

    An Alvarez is OK

Just pick something relatively inexpensive in case they change their minds.

You can always upgrade them later. What is a good starter guitar for teenagers?
First--what kind of music does your teen want to play? If you have a budding devoted rocker, you might want to start out with an electric--otherwise, a steel-string acoustic is a better choice.

In either case, there is no single right answer. There are many good brands in both styles: acoustics like Martin, Gibson, Alvarez, Washburn, Ovation; electrics like Fender, Gibson, Hamer, Carvin, Squier.

Take your teen to a good guitar store or a big general music store. The national chains like Sam Ash and Guitar Center are fine. If possible, take along a knowledgeable guitar player to help.

Have your teen try on several models of the type of guitar you're looking at. Even tho' s/he doesn't know how to play, it's possible to get a ';feel'; for the instrument--does it sit nicely under the right arm, does the right hand naturally touch the strings, does the neck feel good with the left hand around it? Find several makes/models that feel good.

Now, the procedure differs. For acoustics, you want your teen to identify several guitars that feel good and are in your price range (used instruments are OK if they come with warranty or if you have a knowledgeable friend to vouch for them). Have someone else (friend or store clerk) play the same tunes on each of those guitars while your teen turns away--the one that sounds best when your teen isn't looking is the right one. Make certain you buy THAT PARTICULAR guitar--in mid-priced acoustics, there is some variability in manufacture (differences in wood grain and glue drying, etc.) that can make one of a particular model sound better than another.

For electrics, feel is everything. The sound will come more from the amp and pedals--pick-ups are important to sound also but they can be replaced. Once you've found an electric that feels good, you're free to shop for price--wait for a sale at the music store, go online (http://www.musiciansfriend.com or http://www.musicyo.com or similar) or even cruise the pawn shops (but if you buy used, take the instrument to a guitar shop to have a technician adjust it). Also get a decent little practice amp for the electric (35 watts would be fine) and plan to buy a bigger one if the rocker gets good enough to perform--advise the kid never to let go of the practice amp in any case, it's quite useful for not annoying the neighbors.

Now, one other thing. Get your beginner some lessons with a good teacher. Beginners often get hand position wrong and don't know to correct it by themselves--and if wrong hand position gets to be a bad habit, then it can lead to bad playing or repetitive motion injuries. I've known many self-taught guitarists who have had carpal tunnel surgery--proper instruction at the outset will prevent that.

Happy shopping! What is a good starter guitar for teenagers?
It depends if it's being treated as a musical instrument or a toy/status symbol/jewelry/chic-magnet. Inexpensive guitars are difficult to play and sound lousy. If you get a real instrument (spending about 350USD and up) learning, improving, and sound quality will be 1000% better. And if you change your mind you can sell the instrument for lots of money. If you buy a Yugo it will drive like a Yugo and it's resale value is squat. Same with cheap guitars. Good luck.
Yea inexpensive I guess... Except I bought a $500 acoustic for my first guitar. I have no clue why, I was just sure I would play it. People on other websites tend to say get the nicest one you can cause you'll regret not getting a better one later. But it's also true you'll regret spending a lot if the guitar spends time collecting dust in the closet.

PREGNANT TEENAGERS PLEASE ANSWER SOME OF MY QUESTIONS THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME?

What thoughts went through your head when you first found out you were pregnant?

Did you care about being a part of a stereotype, or felt people where looking down on you?

Do you believe in abortions? why or why not?

Are you willing to give up your partying for the health of the baby?PREGNANT TEENAGERS PLEASE ANSWER SOME OF MY QUESTIONS THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME?
I'm 19 and pregnant and I was happy, I honestly feel truly blessed.

I could careless about what other people think, people will always judge you no matter if your doing good or bad.

I am pro-choice but I personally would never have an abortion UNLESS if I were raped.

Yeah I'm willing to give up partying but let me say that just because your married or have a baby doesn't mean your dead.

I'm a PROUD ARMY WIFE. Yes, I may be young to have a child but that doesn't mean I will be a ';bad'; mother. There are women out there that have kids at the ';right age'; and can't even take care of themselves.PREGNANT TEENAGERS PLEASE ANSWER SOME OF MY QUESTIONS THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME?
    self righteous much?
My thoughts at first were,I was scared, but very excited you cant help but be.

I don't care about being a stereotype, I'm 19 and i know i can love and take care of my child. Age doesn't determine how you will raise you kid.

I'm pro-choice, mainly because you don't know other peoples situations.

And i gave up everything you can imagine and had no problem doing it, not just partying, i gave up drinking coke, using my face wash and a lot of little things that you wouldn't even think off, but it will all be worth it

    = )
Well i was 17 when i got pregnant... (I am now 21) and on top of that i had a semi-racist family.. and i was pregnant to a black guy =/ I WAS SCARED outta my mind!! I think i thought about every scenario on how i could explain this to my family.. After weeks of crying and thinking.. i broke down and told my mom.. After lots of tears, hugs, and LONG talks.. She wasnt happy but she was going to help me no matter what... And i thought for my own selfish reasons (partying, my body, my friends, etc)that abortion was the only way to go.. My mom was NOT happy at all with my decision.. So on my way to the appointment (It was a 4 hour drive).. I couldnt go through with it.. THANK GOD!!! and now when i look @ my daughter who is 3... I could never imagine my life without her.. She is my heart n soul... my best friend =) ... In the end... our children are worth everything in the world.. including giving up a few drunk'n stupid nights .. %26lt;33

-NOT TO MENTION now my family loves my daughter as if she is no different (which she isnt only to some) No matter what she is the most beautiful lil girl in the world =) no matter what color she is =)
abortion was my option but when i went in, i walked out. couldn't do it. Yes i cared. I lost my family for 3 to 4 months, silenced from them. they would not talk to me. my boyfriend treats me different because i act different from the symptoms, and now that im growing ladies stare at me, more so elder mums and older ladies. I with i wasn't pregnant but now that im his far along you adapt to losing your child hood, it was my fault.
you got to do what you got to do.being a 20 year old mom 19 prego, leaving behind the partying and hanging out is hard but i am not a big party person. but once you have that little one it all is worth giving up things. a new life is ahead. this change is good.
just as a suggestion. none of this would've happened if u had a brain. maybe u shouldn't have gotten knocked up if ur a teenager OR until u were sure u wanted to have a baby.Don't get an abortion, its ur fault that u did this and now U can raise the kid.
I was 14 when i found out i was.. i wasnt a ho* but yeah if u needa talk u can email or IM me.,

    fitzsimmons.kyndra@yahoo.com
I was totally excited and happy.

No I don't care what people think of me

I do not. Abortion is murder

I dont party and I didnt before the baby either so why would I do something that could harm the baby?
    I got pregnant at 19

I was scared out of my minddd when I first found out. Id knew id be stereotyped, but there isnt really anthing you can do about that, so yeah I was embarrassed and ashamed. I absolutely do not believe in abortions, I could never kill my child because of a mistake I made, and either way a child is Never a mistake, maybe unplanned, but God doesnt make mistakes. Basically you have to give up ';partying'; to be any kind of decent parent, but I didnt mind at all, its worth it, my friends can go out and have drinks and get wasted and party all night, Id trade that every time to spend more time with my son.
Both my husband and I waited until marriage to have sex and we got pregnant pretty much right away. When we found out both of us felt really blessed and happy! I am 18 and he is 20 right. I am finishing my sophomore year of college so hopefully in another two years I will be a nurse and my hubby owns his own business, so we are pretty well off.

I don't care about being a stereotype because we both love children and wanted kids right away. I get funny looks from old ladies at the store all the time and yes it bothers me sometimes (pregnancy makes me emotional lol) but at the end of the day I couldn't care less.

No I do not believe in abortions because I think every child should have the right to life, and if you don't want your child I think adoption is a way better option.

I have never been drunk, done drugs, smoked, etc. that just isn't the way I wanted to live my life.

I grew up in a very Christian home and my parents couldn't be any happier for my husband and I, and they couldn't be anymore excited to be grandparents. We love each other more and more everyday and wouldn't change a thing. =)

Hope you have a great evening! =)
I was so nervous, scared, worried. I was wondering how I was going to tell my parents and what their reactions would be. I didn't care about being part of a stereotype, and I didn't care what people thought though I did get looked down upon alot, and still do! I am totally against abortions. I believe its murder and very wrong. I would never do that to a child. I did give up my partying. To me my baby was my #1 priority. I wanted him to be safe and then after he was born I still refrained from partying. I believe he saved me. I was into a lot of bad stuff before I got pregnant but then when I found out I was pregnant it kinda opened my eyes to all I was doing. I love my son more than anything in the world and wouldnt change a thing.

BTW-I was almost 16 when I got pregnant, I am now 18, married to the father and we are expecting #2 in September :)
i am not pregnant but i can answer two of them.......abortions are wrong so i am against them.

Are you willing to give up your partying for the health of the baby?%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;are you serious??????

take responsibility for your child. you are going to be a mom you should not be out partying especially while pregnant that can have many bad effects on the baby....if you are willing to have sex and get prego as a TEEN then you should as you say be ';willing'; to give up partying.

Is anyone else tired of hearing about teenagers who ';need'; to lose 3 lbs?

I'm sorry, but if 3 lbs (1 1/3 kg) of belly fat (or wherever you think it is) is your biggest problem, you're gonna have a heck of a time in the real world! Anyone agree? Is anyone else tired of hearing about teenagers who ';need'; to lose 3 lbs?
    here here

... what annoys me more than a question like that is the people who actaully give them advice on how to lose weight. I have seen instances where someone was grotesqully underweight and people on here actually give them advice on how to lose it. Attention people ... with a girl is hovering around 90 lbs and she is in her late teens she has a problem and you are going to kill her giving her advice to lose much more weight. Is anyone else tired of hearing about teenagers who ';need'; to lose 3 lbs?
I agree...3lbs. really isn't a issue when you think about all the other drama that they are starting to go through at that age.
Ya i cant wait till they have kids. Try havin that kind extra weight! And afterwards, u gotta really work to get it off. No more days of not caring what u eat an u actually have to bust ur *** n exercise. Have fun with that 3 extra lbs now hunnies!
girl i know how you feel i have to lose 40 pounds just to get my bmi normal but hey what can we do
I think they just do that because it's kind of the ';popular'; thing right now to be trying to lose weight, so they'll find any reason to say they need to. While some may have poor body image and really be worried about the extra 3 pounds, I'm sure there are just as many who are doing it for attention and because they think it's ';cool'; to be on a diet.
Cold as this sounds, I really don't give a damn because the problem typically works itself out. They either become anorexic and whittle away to nothing, or they grow up.
Yes, I'm tired of hearing that. I'm also tired of hearing about everyone's poor body image and self esteem.

Your fat only if you believe you are.

I'm almost ashamed to be a teenager, I'm over 60 pounds overweight, and I don't consider myself fat.

Girls are fine the way they are, if they feel a little chubby, then excersize and eat right.

That's what I've been doing and have lost 10 pounds so far.

I don't see how they can complain about how ';fat'; they are by only 3 pounds. That's not much. Some people dont' even notice that. 3 pounds isn't going to be the thing that makes you fat. I wish girls today weren't so obsessed about their weight.

Do teenagers younger than yourself ask you buy cigarettes for them?

Its happened a few times to me, I always say ';no, sorry I can't'; I always try to be polite to them. I just carry on walking.

Then they have the cheek to call me fat, i'm 19 :( :(

:(Do teenagers younger than yourself ask you buy cigarettes for them?
No. But there are weird people that walk around my town offering me drugs.

Dodgy place, this is. Chavs are taking over.Do teenagers younger than yourself ask you buy cigarettes for them?
Aaaaw, honey I'm sorry. But good for u doing the right thing. I know its hard, but think of it this way, why do someone a favor when thats the only reason they'll act nice to u?

I've been down this road myself. I find smoking offensive now. My dad almost died because of it, and now he's pretty sick from all the yrs of smoking.

So, in a way, ur doing those jerks a favor by not buying them cigarettes.

Hang in their, I support u and would never call u or anyone else fat. We all have our issue and nobody should be throwing stones. I have a weight issue myself. Been battling it since I was in the 5th grade. I'm 26 now.

Have a great weekend! Do something out of the ordinary because ur pretty extraordinary! :)

Do something fun and different, even if it jumping on ur bed like a kid or watching a funny movie.
i gotta admit i used to do this when i was about 14 ask people to go but most my friends could get served anyway. and now im 21 and get asked quite alot! in most shops i still cant get served myself for them! apart from my regular shop. i dont go in for teenagers never have and dont think i ever will.
Awr ignore them idiots! Trust me, they're the idiots and they need to get a life. You've done the right thing by not buying ciggies for them :) And nope, l'm only 16 so they won't serve me, if l wanted some ciggies l would ask someone who l know or just not smoke at all. I've not smoked for about a week now, which is good. l want to stop. lt's getting beyond the joke!
Put the little sh its in their place man.

    Don't take that crap.

Kids ask me all the time, if Im going in to get smokes I'll buy em a pack, if not I tell them where to go, You gotta be assertive with those urchins man.
No, I look too much like a good girl for that. Then again, the Amnesty, Unicef, Greenpeace etc. people with clipboards always ask me to sign this or that petition. Gets boring sometimes.
no i wouldnt dare smoke i am 13 and tell them smokers to get lost they have the cheek to ask for them and if you dont they call you fat it isnt on mate
Well i look old enough so everyone asks cause you have to be 18 i think now? and i look at them like who the hell are you.

And yeah i love it when little rats call me fat, its great.
yeah i get that sometimes. i usually dont do it, but if there is enough money in it for me, i do.

I have made probably 60 bucks doin that.

    yes, i know its illegal.
No, it's the one great thing about looking younger than I am :)
it used to happen to me quite alot but not so much since i ve had my daughter teens don't tend to think parents would by them cigarettes and they would be right no need to encourage such a poor habit
No because 16 is no longer the legal age to buy cigarettes in the UK :)
    No.

But once, two teenage girls asked me if i HAD any cigarettes to give to them, they only looked about 14
no but i saw a 15 year old asking a 19 year old to buy her alcohol but and he did it!

its nice to see people like you who will be responsible though.good lad ;)
Yeah, I get kids asking me to get booze and fags for them whenever I go to the shop.

    I just tell them no.
    nope never happened
no but it happens to my dad, lol they stand outside the shop and ask everybody that go's past!
good for you! Stick to your guns.

It's better to be ';fat'; than to be stupid, isn't it?
It's happened way too much to me. Some of them are kids who are 10 and 11 years olds.
    Yeah every now and then

    I just say sorry guys
That never happened to me, would have say no if it did.
    Sometimes. I just say no.
well i know some people who want fags and get there mates to buy them foe them
luckily that hasn't happen to me xxx
    I blame the parents.....
    They are stupid and immature.

Forget them, you did the right thing mate.

    :]
    awww thats not very nice!
When I was underage, I looked like I was old enough to buy beer and cigarettes (I looked old enough when I was 14, which was 1982), so I just bought them, because the laws were a lot more lax back then.

Now I am 41, and I get asked all the time by kids who are barely underage to buy them either cigarettes or beer/booze (a lot of it has to do with the fact that I still look very young--most people guess my age in my late 20s). I know they are extremely close to being able to buy for themselves, but I still tell them no. And it's not because it's illegal. It's because if I had a kid who was 18 and someone bought smokes for him, I'd be pissed. I figure I owe his parents the same courtesy I would want myself.

Who are the cool artists/bands that teenagers listen to nowadays?

I want to be kool, with a k :-)Who are the cool artists/bands that teenagers listen to nowadays?
if you really wanna be kool with a k, stop spelling cool with a k.Who are the cool artists/bands that teenagers listen to nowadays?
hate to break it to you, but you can't make yourself cool by listening to something different. in fact, you could make yourself a poser (the opposite of cool) if you don't actually like what you listen to.

the internet is a big place. it shouldn't be too hard to find music that suits you.

i refuse to spell cool with a k because that is what we call maximum faggotry in some circles.
none of them are cool. if ur a cool teenager you listen to The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, Aerosmith, The Beatles, Metallica, ZZ Top, Van Halen, and all that great stuff all you liked it all BEFORE Guitar Hero made it ';cool'; and Rock Band made it ';OK'; to like.
Well I'm into A7X, PapaRoach, Wolfmother, Slipknot, ADTR, Secondhand Serenade, NeverShoutNever!, Stephen Jerzak, Chase coy, The Used, Five Finger Death Punch, Flyleaf, 3oh!3, Brokencyde, Owl City, Jamestown Story, Atack! Atack! and much more :]

    I prefer Kewl.

Kewl teenagers listen to whatever they want to listen too. Not just limited to classic rock and 90's.
    Define ';kool';.

Because many teens are into stuff like Lady Gaga %26amp; Miley Cyrus.

    Not kool.
Maybe you should avoid the trendy bands and maybe listen to some that have talent, something a lot of 'cool' bands don't have
Teenagers do not listen to cool music.

Can teenagers get or have lung cancer?

I know they can later in their lives... but as a teen, can they be diagnosed with that? Can teenagers get or have lung cancer?
Yes, but the chances are way less. Anyone can get cancer at any age. Everyone has the cancer cell inside them but not everyones activates. Can teenagers get or have lung cancer?
    you are a hypochondriac! kid
Yes they can. In fact there are people who get it and have never smoked.

What are the behavioral traits of teenagers?

please answer the exact behavioral traits of teenagers. What are the behavioral traits of teenagers?
Adolescents do not have a fully formed brain which is why they have difficulty making good decisions or tend towards impulsivity. The prefrontal cortex of the brain is responsible for social behavior and control. Because it is not fully formed, teens tend to perform risky behaviors. Teens also have a tendency to think with the limbic system which controls sex drive and emotions.

Because the frontal lobe of the brain matures around 20 years, adolescents are not as capable of long ranging planning as are adults. They have more trouble controlling emotions and sexual activity. What are the behavioral traits of teenagers?
if we had the answer to that question, many parents would be so happy!

i do know that many teenagers tend to seek independence and forge strong connections to their peer groups. they also are trying to find their place in the world and crave acceptance and recognition for themselves as individuals of value. this is not from my psychology study, this is just from observing teens.
many teens are friendly, like me, i want to have many friends.

Teenagers: If you were to run away, where would you go?

I would go to the Cleveland National Forest because I can walk there from my house and its beautiful but I couldn't stay because Someone would find me so I'd probably go to one of the square states.

What about you?Teenagers: If you were to run away, where would you go?
    i actually have run away

i ran through the city and climbed up the side of a building (because i knew the police would be checking the streets) and i stayed on the roof of that building til morningTeenagers: If you were to run away, where would you go?
I would find the closest family that would not try to have me returned to my parents/guardians house.

A friend is a bad idea, to burden them could destroy your friendship, or at very least irritate them. Unless it is a childhood friend or someone you are basically siblings with, I'd avoid this. What if someone who was just a friend showed up to your door and then stayed for weeks or even months? Friendship is important, but unabated mooching is more than a bit rude, so use this as a last option.

Family will always be a good bet, such as grandparents that would be understanding to your situations, uncles, aunts, etc. The only risk here is if the relatives and your parents/guardians have a close relationship they may have you returned before you're ready, if you ever intend to return at all.

A word of warning, running away and imagining something such as living on the fly, in a park, on the streets etc. is an awful idea. There is a large influx of homeless teenagers in the northwest, most end up addicted to meth and homeless for life, ensconced in their new, much worse lifestyle.

Stability must be maintained in order for you to pursue the goals you have in life, if you turn to the streets you will spend all your time finding just enough money/food/whatever to get by, being little more than a scavenging animal.
i'd go to a friend's house, where my parents don't know about.

probablyy a guy friend, so they wouldn't suspect anything.

cause i don't tell them about my guy friends.

so yeahhh, that's where i'd go
I always thought i was cool enough to get to an airport and hide in a plane while i go to Europe or something lol. I'd try to get to ireland or london. :P
I would go to the PlayBoy mansion because I can walk there from my house and its beautiful but I couldn't stay because Someone would find me so I'd probably go to one of the square states.
I would camp in the woods for a night then go to a friends house...or I would hide in a cupboard and scare my parents!;)
I would never run away because I love my life but if I did I would take a credit card and go to the mall and I would just sleep in the family lounge by the bathrooms.
i would go to my friends house that my parents didn't know about and if they got a hint about where i was at, i would go to some others friends house
good question, I would run away to like europe, trust me I would find a way to get money and stuff to make it over there
I'd hop on a plane to Venice, Italy, and make my living by being a gondola driver or a glass blower.
I'd take the bus, %26amp;go to City Walk,.. although i have NO idea how to take the bus..

But if not City Walk, I'd Go to Target, Nice %26amp;Safe!, Lol,!(:
i would go to Times Square for the night

then i would hang around there

so my mom wont find me in the crowd.

then ill get hungry and go back home.

i would probably move in with my boyfriend its like were pratically married
i would go to my boyfirneds house! :) cuz i can take the train and its cheap and i dont think my mom would be able to find me cuz she dosent know where he lives! hahah
    Miami
To my brother Bryan's house. Since he's a lot older now and carries more responsibility, he'll probably ship me back home.
id probably just go anywher...like whatever i was into. i wouldn't stay in one place.
    Somewhere that wasn't obvious.
    Walmart!
    Seattle
Realistically I'd go to my friends house.
    the californian red woods
    A friend's house probably...
i would become a nomad and travel around breaking into vending machines and stealing twinkies and stuff
I would be like most other teens and live on the streets or become a prostitute
    My best friends house HAHA.
    haha boyfriendds :]
to my boyfriend's apartment....just kidding...i would go to my cousin's house

Can the definition ';child abuse'; include teenagers?

Teenagers can be considered children because they are underage, so can the term ';child abuse'; apply to teenagers as well? Can the definition ';child abuse'; include teenagers?
Yes that is the logical consequence of having ( in some states ) an age of consent as high as 18. A girl of 17 can therefore become a victim of child sex abuse if she has consented sex with a 21 year old. It`s ridiculous, but that is how society wants it now a days.

All other kinds of abuse is child abuse if a person is below 18.Can the definition ';child abuse'; include teenagers?
Yes, child abuse affects any person who is under the age of 18 although it is harder to get support from the age of 16. It is possible to be abused into adulthood too. It is then just abuse or could possibly be termed as domestic violence.

It includes any situation when some who has a level of control or power over someone else.
Yes. Absolutely. A teenager can be a victim of ';child'; abuse. Here is an article about one such criminal offense which occurred just last month. http://www.thebaynet.com/news/index.cfm/鈥?/a> where a woman beat a 17 year old male minor child who was in her custody at the time of the beating. Please note that she was charged with the offense of child abuse.
Anyone under the age of 18 is considered ';under age'; in the US.
Yes, teenagers are abused and it is considered child abuse.
Definitely! Until one is 18, one is still a child, and many of those abused are young adults.
Yes because teenagers are children in the eyes of the law until they are 18.
it can apply to everyone under the legal age of 18
until you are a legal adult yes it is
    yes
    of course!
    yes

as long as they are still minors
    yes

Whats a good theme for a teenagers room?

any girl/tomboy designsWhats a good theme for a teenagers room?
tropical rainforestWhats a good theme for a teenagers room?
I would consult with the teenager that is staying in the room and make it a fun project that they like.
im not a girl or a tomboy, but i think music is a cool theme, whatever kind of music your into.
    kfc!
the solar system, it never seems to go out of style.
Stripes in her favorite color accented with her hobby/ies
    um........music! or sports combined!! ;)
A bad theme for an adults room.
    bubbles
blue is good for any bedroom.
sleek, new age designs with bold colors, silver metals (stainless steel), clean lines and such

otherwise you could always go with the sports theme.
Jail cell, with a random shakedown every week to find drugs, porn, and weapons.
well, i always go with whatever season that it is. like right now i have spring. (light pinks, soft grenns, blues, yellows, and oranges!!) got my bedding at walmart for like 50 bucks!! it was a whole set too
    Mine is blue/beach
    Stainless steel, music.
when i was a teen i did my room in posters of bands and memories from what people gave me...but if your the mom let her take her own ideas and make them hers....let her do her room...then when she has friends over she can say that she did it and it was all her....i mean ya you can help her do it but let her deside i think she would respect you for that...
    skateboarding
    Keeping your room clean. lol
Whwn i was a kid i always liked like a hawinea theme or horses
It could be techie with all the green and black stuff.. With all the wires and everything!
You could go monochromatic (make sure it's not yellow, I heard somewhere that people who live in yellow rooms go crazy) or you can use a certain picture as inspiration, such as a cover from a favorite album. Also, my room is designed around the beach (minus the cheesy wicker and conch shells), so you could also use a favorite outdoor setting.
Music, sports, nature, or just plain. With some tough edges/colors.

Teenagers: Why do you all have sex if you do not know how to become pregnant?

Seen a question that said: Can i get pregnant by oral sex?

Another one that said: Can you get pregnant with your clothes on?

I mean if you do not know how pregnancy occurs then do you really think you need to have sex?Teenagers: Why do you all have sex if you do not know how to become pregnant?
i deeply agree with that comment. i have had 6 different classes that explained everything about sex, pregnancy, and stds. it really helps if you know what you should know before decidng to have sex. but sometimes people do need advice..Teenagers: Why do you all have sex if you do not know how to become pregnant?
well some of them dont know what there doin! some of them are in love %26amp;%26amp; some of there are dumb tryin to be cool! they just dont know!!
Teenagers have sex because it is natural. They are horny and sex is fun. It's instinctual.

Sex education isn't taught in schools instead many teenagers get abstinence only training because of slack jawed yokels under the guise of the ';good christian'; right out there think that not knowing how to have safe sex and using scare tactics means that no one would have sex! These are the sorts of people who are in total denial of human instinct and the fact that we are animals. You're dog has sex without knowing the consequences too, don't ya know?

Instead of asking teenagers why they have sex when they don't know the details, why not teach them about safe sex, sexually transmitted diseases, abortion, contraception ect. Wouldn't that make a lot more sense?
Thanks I was to tired to ask that same question
this question was frazed a bit funny ,but on reflection makes a lot of sense ,

i also feel that before you try to drive a car you should learn about traffic and the car

and if you want to have sex you should also know the consequenses and how to have safe sex

from disease and from becoming pregnant or making somebody pregnant

that is why in most first world countries ,sex education starts early in school because people are becoming sexually active earlier than before

,irespective of what the religions opinion is ,the reality exists and cannot be shoved under the carpet.

Statistics have shown that teen age pregnancies occur mainly amongst the un educated
    why do we all??

that's kinda sticking us together don't you think!

I don't and am waiting for marraige so don't clump us together like that, and so what if people ask dumb questions, we all do.
I know they should not even be having sex if they have to ask things like that. Sounds like they need to read a sex/pregnancy book.
As a former teen and mother of 3 aunt of 12 and sister of 5 - I can honestly say - misinformation - it has been around since the dawn of time and will be until the end. Kids fear to ask their parent/Dr/Family Member these questions for fear of condemnation and punishment. They approach this forum for honesty they cannot otherwise receive. I am happy to answer their questions so at least they know - hopefully ';before they act';.
i agree.... i had a sex ed class early on... and found out everything, but my god, why ask the obvious ones??? like oral??? come on.... one was asking if ''having sex not normal but ''bottom'' instead' would get you pregnant.....
mmm...yea.... sex.... They know, they just want to sound cool by announcing they have played around.
haha, thats to funny!!!! yes i had my son when i was 18 but i knew there was a chance of pregnancy and yes i did know that it isnt possible unless there is INTERCORSE involved hahahahahaha
Hahahahahahaha! Tha'ts so true! That's evidence that education budget cutbacks are out in full force.

What books would you recommend for teenagers?

The Daughters of the Moon series by Lynne Ewing.

Vanessa, Catty, Serena, and Jimena seem like ordinary girls living in Los Angeles. But they each have a secret. Vanessa can become invisible, Catty travels back in time, Serena reads minds, and Jimena has premonitions. What separates them from others bands them together as DAUGHTERS OF THE MOON.What books would you recommend for teenagers?
Any of Gail Carson Levine's books are great. (Ella Enchanted, Ever, Fairest) If you like Ella enchanted you'll like Just Ella by margaret peterson haddix)

The Faerie Path by Frewin Jones is good

The Midnighters Series by Scott Westerfeld

The Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer

Starcatchers Series by Dave Barry (if you like the Adventures of Peter Pan)

when your ready and liked Twilight you'll like the bluebloods series by de la cruz and the House of night series by P.C Cast and Kristen Cast.

If you loved harry potter you love the Inheritence Cycle (ie Eragon, Eldest, and Brinigr) by Christopher Paolini.

If you like the Faerie Path (jones) you'll like wicked lovely, Ink Exchange and Fragile Eternity by Melissa Marr

or The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare or

The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel by Michael Scott

    or

lemony snicket's a series of unfortunate events by Lemony Snicket

The classics are always good to read tooWhat books would you recommend for teenagers?
    Depends on what your into.

If your into the more realistic book types, I'd go for books by Ann M. Martin (One of my favourite books by her is called 'Here Today') or Rune Michaels is a good author as well (check out a book written by him called 'Genesis Alpha', It's amazing)

If your into the more Sci-Fi type series, I'd go for:

-any book by Eoin Colfer. He's a great author. His books include the ';Artemis Fowl'; series, The Supernaturalist, Half-Moon Investigations, and many more!

    If your into romance:

-The ';Twilight'; series by Stephenie Meyer (they also include a bit of -would you call it fantasy?- with the feature of vampires =P (I myself am a fan of these books, but not everyone enjoys them)

-the ';Love Comes Softly'; series by Janette Oke are, in my opinion, amazing. They're are definetley romance books, but very much realistic as well. If all your into is the romance, the first book might be a bit slow for you. (The romance concludes at the end, then continues on in the other books in that series)

I love to read, and know a great deal about tons of books. If you're looking for a type of book other than listed here, feel free to email me =). (By the way I am a teenager, so none of these books are gonna be oldish, or something =P)

    Good Luck!
I have a couple books you might want to check out, there is a series called The house of night series, there is violence and some graphic material, its about vampires another trilogy is The Mortal Instruments, its about magic and that sort of stuff
I LOVE ';The time travelers'; novels by Caroline B Cooney!

    They are so romantic,yet adventurous!
The Twilight series is good. I really like the Bloody Jack Adventure series by L.A. Meyer. I'd suggest surfing around Amazon.com for ideas.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan! You HAVE to read them! they rock.
    ';Transformers: The Veiled Threat';
Screw the vampires. Go read classics.

I dont know but i wish all the kids would sort their feckin spelling out. its awfull.

    plus how can they be having sex if the are all on here asking stupid questions like '; theres this boy/girl in my class i like and she/he said this and i said that and someone else said something else and i said this back and he said blah blah blah blah blah';

Some of the goobbledegook that passes for questions is horrendous.

the teens live with their parents until you apply for college and opt to move out. then they do not live with their parents. there may be a way to get their parents to live with them, such as calling them up and inviting them over and eventually asking them to move in.

  • PREGNANT TEENAGERS PLEASE ANSWER SOME OF MY QUESTIONS THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME?

What thoughts went through your head when you first found out you were pregnant?

Did you care about being a part of a stereotype, or felt people where looking down on you?

Do you believe in abortions? why or why not?

Are you willing to give up your partying for the health of the baby?PREGNANT TEENAGERS PLEASE ANSWER SOME OF MY QUESTIONS THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME?

=)PREGNANT TEENAGERS PLEASE ANSWER SOME OF MY QUESTIONS THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME?
I was 14 when i found out i was.. i wasnt a ho* but yeah if u needa talk u can email or IM me.,

    fitzsimmons.kyndra@yahoo.com

BTW-I was almost 16 when I got pregnant, I am now 18, married to the father and we are expecting #2 in September :)
you got to do what you got to do.being a 20 year old mom 19 prego, leaving behind the partying and hanging out is hard but i am not a big party person. but once you have that little one it all is worth giving up things. a new life is ahead. this change is good.
just as a suggestion. none of this would've happened if u had a brain. maybe u shouldn't have gotten knocked up if ur a teenager OR until u were sure u wanted to have a baby.Don't get an abortion, its ur fault that u did this and now U can raise the kid.
I was totally excited and happy.

No I don't care what people think of me

I do not. Abortion is murder

I dont party and I didnt before the baby either so why would I do something that could harm the baby?
    self righteous much?
abortion was my option but when i went in, i walked out. couldn't do it.
%26lt;33

-NOT TO MENTION now my family loves my daughter as if she is no different (which she isnt only to some) No matter what she is the most beautiful lil girl in the world =) no matter what color she is =)
My thoughts at first were,I was scared, but very excited you cant help but be.

    = )
I'm 19 and pregnant and I was happy, I honestly feel truly blessed.

I could careless about what other people think, people will always judge you no matter if your doing good or bad.

I am pro-choice but I personally would never have an abortion UNLESS if I were raped.

Yeah I'm willing to give up partying but let me say that just because your married or have a baby doesn't mean your dead.

I'm a PROUD ARMY WIFE. Yes, I may be young to have a child but that doesn't mean I will be a ';bad'; mother. There are women out there that have kids at the ';right age'; and can't even take care of themselves.

Basically you have to give up ';partying'; to be any kind of decent parent, but I didnt mind at all, its worth it, my friends can go out and have drinks and get wasted and party all night, Id trade that every time to spend more time with my son.
i am not pregnant but i can answer two of them.......abortions are wrong so i am against them.
