Are Mormon teenagers allowed to date?

And have boyfriends and girlfriends and stuff? and if so, what can they do with them? I know they obviously can't have sex, but what about kissing and stuff? Are Mormon teenagers allowed to date?
Yes, though they're encouraged to wait until they're at least sixteen before dating, and then to try and date in groups for at least a little while after that. Those who date earlier aren't necessarily subject to any sort of disciplinary action (we don't work that way), but they are risking going too far too young, and that's obviously not a good thing.

They can hug and hold hands and kiss...all the typical things to do while dating, though they're warned about getting too hot and heavy about it. Anything with tongue is probably too far, as is groping of any sort. Anything that requires the removal of clothes would also be against our standards.

...so basically typical dating without getting overly sexual. Are Mormon teenagers allowed to date?
LDS (or Mormon) youth are encouraged to wait until 18 years old to date in single-couple settings. But group dating is allowed beginning at the age of 16.

In regards to what is allowed when dating? Well, as long as there are no immoral acts being committed then an LDS teenager that is on a date can do things like other dating teenagers (go to the movies, dance, take a walk, etc.)
Those of the LDS religion are instructed to wait until they are 16 to date (and traditionally it's double dating, nothing past midnight, etc...) and wait until they are 18 to have exclusive relationships. As to kissing and holding hands that is up to the individual and their upbringing. There are some who haven't kissed anyone until they are married (a former Miss California) and there are those who had their first kiss on their sixteenth birthday (me).

This is good logical thinking and should be encouraged in every American home. It would reduce the rate of teen pregnancy, probably increase intelligence.
The rules of the game...

Up to 14, group activities.

14 to 16, group activities. including group dates, dances, etc.

16 to 18, dating

18-plus - on the hunt for a mate.

No inappropriate touching (between shoulders and knees) - kissing is fine as long as it is controlled and not overtly passionate.
They can date when they're 16, though they're encouraged to only have double dates/group dates until 18. Serious relationships are discouraged for younger teens. Kissing is okay, but no ';making out.';
We are encouraged to wait until we're sixteen to date, and then we hold high standards of chastity. Kissing is okay. The easy rule of LDS dating is to not do anything with your date that you'd be embarrassed to do in front of your parents or have your parents know you did. http://lds.org/ldsorg/v/index.jsp?locale鈥?/a>
They date after 16 (usually group dates--no steady dating--until they go off to college--or get back from a mission--and are looking to get married).

They are told to date only those who will help them uphold their standards.

Search for ';For Strength of Youth'; to see the standards that LDS youth are taught.

Finally, we like to have good clean fun!!!
Nope. They also aren't allowed to have sex, have kids, get married to 1 person only, etc etc.
We are encouraged to wait until we are 16 until we start dating.
Sure, Joe Smith used to date lots of teenagers; he even married a few of them too.
Negative.
Only if they were morons too.
