Why do teenagers feel like theyre right when they argue with their parents?

It's part of being a kid- passion overwhelms reason.Why do teenagers feel like theyre right when they argue with their parents?
Because in their undeveloped minds they believe that they are right and they know what's best for them.


As a mother of 2 grown children,35 %26amp; 27. I never had this problem with my son (the oldest) only my daughter, she was rebellious as a son-of-a-gun. She went into USAF out of high school, made SSGT within 3 yrs and is now in police acadamy in the town she resides in with her police officer husband.


She also has a 5 yr old daughter, and I hope that Hayley put her through the same grief my daughter put me through.


I love them dearly, and I know history does repeat itself.


As for my son, he's a musician, mortgage broker, bouncer %26amp; recovery specialist)repossessing autos. A very proud mother I am.Why do teenagers feel like theyre right when they argue with their parents?
i have 3 boys, 23 and 18 and 12 ..no matter how it goes there right ..well i found if i just agree with them instead of argue with them there not sure what to do next. they get kinda confused, its funny. i pick and choose my battles with them ..its nothing but trying to find themselfs and haveing no control over nothing they do or say in real life so we become the targets for them ..so they want to argue with you instead beacuse we feed right into it with them ..so if its not going to harm them in anyway just agree sometimes and watch there reaction after that..just remember this everything you say in an arguement with them affects them in the future..
Their brains are underdeveloped, specifically the neocortex which deals with rational thinking.





That and hormones that make them more prone to get in grumpy and argumentative moods.





Of course there are social factors too. It's not easy being a teenager today.





You want to know how I know this? I'm a teenager I must be right!
They are trying to grow up. They think that they are smarter than thier parents.As they grow older they will realize they were the dumb ones.

its called entertainment, its too bad many kids watch that crap and think that is the correct way to act
