Believe it or not, waiting tables is a great way to make money while in school. If you are in school, then you would probably work a few nights during the week, and on weekends. Shifts are only about 4 hours long. Make sure you get into a busy restaurant, and that it is in a good area. Poor people can not afford to tip well. If you work dinner during the week, expect to make about 50-80 dollars that shift. A Friday or Saturday night can bring in 80-200 dollars per night. The slowest period is Saturday lunches.
