Are protein supplements safe for teenagers?

I'm wondering whether protein supplements are safe for teenagers. I am 15 years old (about to be 16 in a month), height is 5'10';, and weigh 135lb. I know its bad for the liver if too much protein is consumed. Are supplements safe for my age and if not what should be the minimum age?Are protein supplements safe for teenagers?
most people get way too much protein from their normal diet, so supplements are usually unnecessary, especially for a teenager.





if you're doing weightlifting or are trying to build muscle mass, maybe you need the extra protein. in which case, it'd be safe to have supplements.





but unless you have a particular dietary need, you don't need a protein supplement.





but to answer the question, it should be safe as long as you follow the directions. check ingredient labels and do google searches to find more information about what you're eating.
