What should a teenagers curfew be?

I'm 17, what do you think is a fair curfew for weekends an weekdays? On a Saturday my dad thinks he's being generous if he lets me come home at 10:00! I never get into trouble or anything! what do you think?What should a teenagers curfew be?
Hmm was thinking that maybe the reason you dont get into any trouble is the fact that you have the early curfew? When it gets later teens tend to do strange things and it generally leads to trouble.What should a teenagers curfew be?
Well it really depends on each individual, but if your responsible I don't see any reason why you couldn't stay out until 12-1 on weekends and 11 on weekdays. Have you tried sitting down with your dad and talking with him about how you feel? It may be that he realizes next year you'll be 18 and he's just trying to control you as much as possible while he can. He may be having trouble realizing your an adult and letting go....
My girls are very young (5 and under), but when I was in High School, the rule used to be 10pm on Weekdays and 11om on weekends. In another 12 years when my girls are 17, I'll likely use the same timeframe.





Why? because when I was out at 12am (breaking curfew) I was usually up to no good even though I was an honor roll student. Temptations are somehow stonger and more frequent late at night. ;)





I would probably relax the time after 18yr, cause sooner or later they're going to college and that is going to be way worse than any curfew I impose.
I think 10:00 PM is more than reasonable. This allows 1 hour of ';wind down time.'; It's in your best interest to think about sleeping around 11:00PM. I'm 30, and I know that if I have to wake up any earlier than 7:00 AM than I should be thinking about actually falling asleep no later than 11:30PM. Use common sense. They're not setting a curfew to be pricks, but to rather better prepare you for the following morning.
It depends on the child for one. How have they handled freedom in the past? And it depends on the parents for two. Do they care enough to know that their precious daughter/son has no business being out once the restaurants are closed and the only things still open are the bars that drunk drivers are returning from? Be happy your parents care so much.

when i was 17 my curfew was like... 1am or something, and i always broke it, ahahaha

weekends 11 or 12 is good no later though cause its dangerous after that haha





theres always exceptions though like if theres a 11 movie or party or w/e just in case have a cell though
For kids 16 and over:





Weekdays/school nights: Home by 9 pm.


Weekends/holidays: Midnight



i think 10:30 it fair....I'm 17 and that's my curfew, and sometimes there are circumstances where my mom lets me stay out later (the movies, halloween, stuff like that)

see im 13 and i can home by 11:30 on weekends





but school night is iffy but around 8 or 7:30

i know a 16 year old and her curfew is 10


and she is a good student good grades doesnt get in trouble.


her mom just wants her home by 10.
I'm 16, almost 17. Weekdays my parents make me be home before 10. Weekends, is pretty much whenever, as long as I call and check in with them.
Weekends: 12midnight-1am


Weekdays: 10pm-11pm
When i was a teenager, it was 9 pm on weeknights and 11 pm on weekends.
on school days its 10





and on weekends around 12 or 1 maybe later
