Whats the best DSLR for beginner teenagers?

I'm 16 and am in love with photography. Currently I'm taking a class on B%26amp;W photography using 35mm SLR camers. I would love to try and use a DSLR because now all I have is the Canon SX110.

Whats the best DSLR that's out there for beginner photographers and that's at a reasonable price. (under $500)Whats the best DSLR for beginner teenagers?
I am 15 and am in love with photography. I think your best bet for that much money is a second-hand Canon Rebel XT. They are very good for their price and, second-hand, you should be able to get one and a lens or two. (Or 3.) Good luck! I know, photography is very expensive!Whats the best DSLR for beginner teenagers?
i recommend Nikon D40 6.1MP Digital SLR Camera Kit with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor Lens

Great pictures used to require complicated and cumbersome equipment along with years of experience. Not any more. The D40 is compact, lightweight and designed specifically for ease of use, yet contains all the top-quality, high-performance technologies that you expect from a Nikon digital SLR. And with world-famous Nikkor lenses, you know you have the sharpest and most reliable optical performance available. All in a camera light enough to carry with you everywhere. Beautiful photography has never been easier.

The Nikon D40 costs about 450.00 with 18-55mm VR lens. Since you are using film, the lens equivalent is 28mm-70mm (on a film camera). The lens has image stablilization in it, so that gives you about 2-3 required shutter speeds lower for a perfect picture. The D40 is a camera that will carry you through for many years...no need to upgrade in the forseeable future.
