How should I debate on this topic? Parents negligence's causes moral decline amongst teenagers(opponent)?

Need help as fast as possible.................How should I debate on this topic? Parents negligence's causes moral decline amongst teenagers(opponent)?
Say it has to do more with community than family. Take the idea that it takes a village to raise a child. Find famous people that were raised in single family houses or houses with a lot of children for examples. Look at studies that are for your side, their out there. How should I debate on this topic? Parents negligence's causes moral decline amongst teenagers(opponent)?
With the economy what it is today, stay at home Mom's are a thing of the past! Parents are so caught up in themselves and their jobs, that they often forget the responsibilities they have as parents to teach their children to be strong upstanding and moral adults! teenagers today can't even spell morals. They are having sex, doing drugs, lying, cheating etc etc. Think how your own morals differ from those of your ancestors and you will see how far the decline in morals has fallen! (How was that?) LOL
-A teen is old enough to take responsibility for their actions. They know right from wrong by now even if it was not learnt from the parents.

-The media is deteriorating fast. It is showing things that are really inappropriate for a teenager.

-Peer pressure is a big reason for teens to get into the wrong things (drugs etc). We feel we need to be ';cool'; and the other kids influence us to think that doing drugs will make it happen.

-Celebrities are glorifying drugs and anorexia etc. Teens see these people on the news and believe that if tey are doing it, it must be cool (see above point). Also teens begin to associate drugs with fame and fortune.

Hope I helped. It was really difficult to come up with things because I think parents actually have a whole lot to do with their children's morals and beliefs.
It may have more to do with environment %26amp; changing attitudes. The higher level of independance, and the fact that children/teens have their own money now, and products are now marketed directly at them (especially sex). You can have terrible kids come from good families.

Remember as the opponant you only have to claim that it is not solely parents negligence that cause moral decline, but a variety of causes.
Whether we like it or not, parents are the strongest authority to their children - it is so since early age (lasts until a person grows up, gains experience for him/herself, finds authority elsewhere, or simply outgrows parents' intellectual ';limits';). As such, parents set examples that are followed and even copied by their children since youngest age. Not being there as a father figure, as a shoulder to cry on, to present the moral rules and boundaries, correct the ';little'; wrongs when they still haven't grown into a tragedy, to offer advice as someone who has been through rough times, to share experiences of problem solving, or to just listen when a child is in pain... may not be the only reason for moral decline, but is most certainly one of the reasons for for problematic teenager behavior. Children need example-models. Not having them only makes it easier for them to fall prey to wrong people, follow immoral paths, ';worship'; the wrong idols... My opinion... I don't have to be right, of course...
hmmmm if its standard 3 on 3

Then for the 1 st person get him to talk about 3 points
