How will u score saree's popularity among teenagers?

saree is losing its popularity among the older saree-clad generation; how then, can you expect the youth, especially teenagers, to wear them! ;-)


among the rich %26amp; now middle classes, saree is being used mainly for formal wedding / festive occasions %26amp; that too among ladies - no teens.


you'll see teens only in lehngas, jeans/pants, dresses, salwars, etc.





but then again, traditionally, teenagers have hardly ever worn sarees except to school on Teacher's Day. so i guess the 'popularity' would've remained the same, at best, as a few generations back if you are considering ONLY teenagers.


How will u score saree's popularity among teenagers?
if Gucci launches sarees for Teenagers, they better price it reasonably. how many teenagers can afford a Gucci on their allowance ;-)


personally, i remain a handloom saree fan %26amp; wear only pure cottons, silks %26amp; chiffons. nothing can beat the diversity of Indian handlooms - weaves %26amp; embroidery too.
