Question about physically abused teenagers?

Is it normal for teenagers who are physically abused to have a completely changed personality, not want anyone's help anymore and think no one can make them happy anymore, even people they really used to care about?

Just wondering, cause it happened to one of my friends.Question about physically abused teenagers?
Of course. It doesn't even have to be physical abuse- it can be anything emotionally life-changing or anything significant that actually changes their views on life or how they react to their environment.

The reason they don't want anyone's help or no one can make them happy anymore is because no one has stepped in to help- ever. It makes them feel alone' it's like people can see what's happening but no one ever takes the time out to help them. They might see their situation as untreatable. They may even begin to like the pain they are in because it receives attention.

Be careful with your friend. S/he sounds like s/he is in a fragile place right now. Loss of interests in things that they once liked is something that should send off warning signals. If you really think your friend is getting depressed or needing help, don't wait. It may seem awkward or embarrassingg to your friend but if s/he needs it, it's better that s/he received it than for something bad to happen later on.Question about physically abused teenagers?
Yeah i think that is normal if they've been abused for long enough.
