How should I debate on this topic? Parents negligence's causes moral decline amongst teenagers(opponent)?

Need help as fast as possible.................How should I debate on this topic? Parents negligence's causes moral decline amongst teenagers(opponent)?
Say it has to do more with community than family. Take the idea that it takes a village to raise a child. Find famous people that were raised in single family houses or houses with a lot of children for examples. Look at studies that are for your side, their out there. How should I debate on this topic? Parents negligence's causes moral decline amongst teenagers(opponent)?
With the economy what it is today, stay at home Mom's are a thing of the past! Parents are so caught up in themselves and their jobs, that they often forget the responsibilities they have as parents to teach their children to be strong upstanding and moral adults! teenagers today can't even spell morals. They are having sex, doing drugs, lying, cheating etc etc. Think how your own morals differ from those of your ancestors and you will see how far the decline in morals has fallen! (How was that?) LOL
-A teen is old enough to take responsibility for their actions. They know right from wrong by now even if it was not learnt from the parents.

-The media is deteriorating fast. It is showing things that are really inappropriate for a teenager.

-Peer pressure is a big reason for teens to get into the wrong things (drugs etc). We feel we need to be ';cool'; and the other kids influence us to think that doing drugs will make it happen.

-Celebrities are glorifying drugs and anorexia etc. Teens see these people on the news and believe that if tey are doing it, it must be cool (see above point). Also teens begin to associate drugs with fame and fortune.

Hope I helped. It was really difficult to come up with things because I think parents actually have a whole lot to do with their children's morals and beliefs.
It may have more to do with environment %26amp; changing attitudes. The higher level of independance, and the fact that children/teens have their own money now, and products are now marketed directly at them (especially sex). You can have terrible kids come from good families.

Remember as the opponant you only have to claim that it is not solely parents negligence that cause moral decline, but a variety of causes.
Whether we like it or not, parents are the strongest authority to their children - it is so since early age (lasts until a person grows up, gains experience for him/herself, finds authority elsewhere, or simply outgrows parents' intellectual ';limits';). As such, parents set examples that are followed and even copied by their children since youngest age. Not being there as a father figure, as a shoulder to cry on, to present the moral rules and boundaries, correct the ';little'; wrongs when they still haven't grown into a tragedy, to offer advice as someone who has been through rough times, to share experiences of problem solving, or to just listen when a child is in pain... may not be the only reason for moral decline, but is most certainly one of the reasons for for problematic teenager behavior. Children need example-models. Not having them only makes it easier for them to fall prey to wrong people, follow immoral paths, ';worship'; the wrong idols... My opinion... I don't have to be right, of course...
hmmmm if its standard 3 on 3

Then for the 1 st person get him to talk about 3 points

then the 2nd person recites the 3 points with 2 extra points elaborated even more

Then the 3rd person refutes against what they say and says what the 1st and 2nd person says
it does

ever seen the family table comercialsa kid is 10 time less likly to get into drugs sex and drinking if they eat dinner with there parents once a week and that just starting

Can i set an age limit of teenagers at my wedding reception?

i am having my wedding reception on a yacht and we are concerened about having young children running around. Can we set an age limit of teenagers? Can i set an age limit of teenagers at my wedding reception?
Of course why wouldn't you be able to .. Its your wedding !Can i set an age limit of teenagers at my wedding reception?
I think thats a good idea! For my reception we are asking that after 10 its 21 and older. I think as long as you say something about it on your invititations it should not be a problem. Like said before maybe you should set up a babysitting service so if people have little ones they have an option.
I don't see why not- just make sure the invites are clearly addressed stating exactly who is invited

or you can put a line stating 'no young children please'
It's your wedding and you can set any restrictions that you want. However, there will be some hard feelings from some of your friends and family members because of this restriction. In all honesty, if my children weren't welcome (in the future when they actually exist) because of their age, then I probably wouldn't show up at all.
You can but then you might anger some parents. Inform them of your concerns and tell them to use their own judgment. (suggest they get a babysitter)
Yes, but be prepared to either have guests with young children not attend or arrange an onshore sitter.
I agree with onehoney, the owners of the yacht might have their own rules about age limits of passengers aboard the boat. Read your contract and confirm with the owners on this, and then break it to your guests about the limits. They'll have to understand since it is the owners setting the limits, not you. Honestly, I wouldn't want small children on board anyway because then there is more of a worry of someone falling overboard or something and you don't want to have to worry about that happening, you? (Although, it's the parent's responsibility to supervise them accordingly, not yours.) They may still b*tch and complain about not being able to bring their kids, but it's your day not theirs. Congrats on your wedding.
I would say no children......
If its your wedding, then why not?
If you don't write ';and Family'; would they try to bring their kids?

You could just say the children under XX are not allowed on the boat. That leaves it a little more ambiguous as to who made the rule but is still very clear.
you can defiantly put a plan for a minimum age
I would set an age limit, but make sure you stick to it so there are no hard feelings. For example , neices and nephews that way there is no resentment on the part of the people who leave their children at home.
Yes you can do as you wish...
absolutely. Just put in the invite that ';because of safety concerns and regulations on the yacht, we request the presence of children 13 and older only.';

This way it sounds like it is the yacht rental company's rule . . . not yours.

Really, it is the best way to go. You will have drunk parents and sugar hyper children and someone will get hurt, hide in some cubby hole, or fall overboard.
Its your Wedding, Have it your way. I had 2 receptions, one at the church with children and then one later at a hall, No Children allowed. Meaning no one under 21.

Blessings and Congratulations on your Marriage.
as long as its OK with you and your fiance.....IT'S A GO! - don't worry about offending anyone - being on the water with young children can be dangerous and not fun for the parents

good idea!
absolutely. there is specific wording that you'll put in the invitation to make the ';no children'; rule clear. Also, when you address the invitation you should not include ';and family'; or the names of the children in the family. If you do want to include particular older teenagers then include their name on the inner envelope.

btw, so jealous of your yacht wedding....if I wasn't having 300+ people at my wedding I would have LOVED to go that route. have fun and anchors away!
Adult reception only, please. No childcare provided.

*Spread the word that the boat isn't child friendly.
sure its YOUR wedding. it would be respectible not to have little children running around.
Of course. On the invitation state that it is an adult only reception. When you receive RSVP's look out for people ';mistakingly'; adding a child and if they do simply give a polite phone call reminding them and apologizing for the inconvenience.
Absolutely!! The only people who should be at your reception are those you invite.

Many people have adult only receptions.

If you have guests with young children, look into making arrangements for them all to be watched in one location by a reliable adult or two.
Yeah, Its your wedding, just be specific with who you invite,
Of course you can, many weddings say no children or nobody under the age of 12 (as an example)

Its your wedding day, make it your own.
A better alternative is to hire a babysitter for the little ones, provided that the yacht has a room in which the babysitter can maintain the kids. Provide them with games, snacks, crafts and movies to watch. Pay a babysitter well and you won't have the kids running around. If parents don't want to leave their child with the babysitter, then they shouldn't bring them. You could say on your invitation insert ';Children 12 and older welcome at the reception, babysitting provided for children under 12'; or whatever age limit you want to set. That's reasonable. Then if a family has more than one child, the children who are old enough can attend the reception and the younger children are still provided for and nearby if they should need their parents.
Sure. It's your wedding. Set it at 16 or 18 or even younger if you want? I just went to a wedding where you had to be 18 or older to attend.
Yes, you can. Its your wedding, and yes, I agree, I would set age limits if I was to have a wedding reception on a yacht I would be setting age limits because Im sure you are very concerned about the safety of young children. Anyway, have a great time at your wedding and just do what feels right.
It's your wedding, you can do whatever you wish. Keep in my there will be protests, but stick to your guns, it's your wedding, your reception.

If you have a lot of out of town people coming in, arrange for a babysitting service.
Unless you own the yacht, the venue may determine an age limit for your guests. Good news, you can blame them when someone questions you about bringing their teen. Better news, you get what you want, an age limit. Sounds like a win-win situation. Keep it your way.

Sounds romantic and beautiful by the way.
My cousin did that... I was like 12 and didnt get to go although I was really upset I do think that sometimes that would be a good idea. Depending on the surroundings.
Yes. Say, no children under the age of 13.

  • How do i set up home for teenagers who want live independantly?

I do not care what others say because there are young people who need and some simply want this type of home. I have known of parents who have helped their own young people get established.

One of my mates had a flat on his mother's property from 16 on. He immigrated to marry at 18 to a girl in the USA. Three years later he is still married to her. The flat arrangement helped him grow up and mature quickly.

So, have a go at it! As long as you set it up legally, chances are that you will do much for the young, those who are not quite ready for independence, but are ready to start working toward it.How do i set up home for teenagers who want live independantly?

Do teenagers wear aprons arund the house?

I am not a teenager but I think they wear clothes around the house - like most people.Do teenagers wear aprons arund the house?
If I had to help with cooking that might damage my clothes and I or my family was on a strict budge and I knew the clothes wouldn't be replaced, I'd wear an apron.....or it'd go change into clothes that could be damaged and it wouldn't matter.Do teenagers wear aprons arund the house?
Eh, I don't think most do.

...I don't think most people in general do anymore.
Only if they insist to helping their mothers preparing meals.
No need really, they don`t do anything do they?
i loved to wear mine. working in a kitchen i always had one on i dont think its cool and it saves your clothes from getting messy....
I myself being 17 have never in my live worn an apron around the house nor do I kow of anybody my age or within the teens that has...I guess we are too lazy and think we are too cool for aprons
If you are a messy cook like I am, you will.

Do you know any driving music for teenagers?

';Shut up and Drive'; by Rihanna.

Lol, that was the first thought that came to my head when I saw this question.Do you know any driving music for teenagers?

    katy perry- her first also

britney spears- black out and then a little bit of circus is good

pink's new album i forget what it's called

I dont really use CD's anymore. I have an FM transmittor which basically connects your ipod into the smoke lighter thingy and like transmits the music on there to the radio and you put it on station like 88.1 .. kind of like what you would do if you got a sirus radio.. they're kind of pricey at radio shack .. idk how they are at like walmart or bestbuy i bet you could find it cheaper other places if you don't have an ipod or don't want to buy one you should probably burn a disk and make a mix cd so you wont have to keep switching CDs. Since you're a teenager you could get in accidents trying to change them..

i just make a playlist on my ipod and play it in the car basically but thats just meDo you know any driving music for teenagers?
NONE!!!!!!!!!! When a teenager drives - he/she does not NEED any distractions! You are in the car to drive and you need to pay attention to what you and the other drivers are doing ALL of the time!
whatever you feel like bustin through the speakers. Im a rock/hardcore/indie/emo/punk/ whatever else person. Pretty much hardcore rock in my car.
you probably shouldnt be listening to music while driving if you've just gotten your license. its really distracting..
Believe me Im lying-Forever the sickest kids
