Not wanting to hear opinion on what you think, whatever it may be, but what the raw facts are.
Now most polls in Western countries show the majority of youth very much in approval.
But these are the very same countrie with low birth rates and fewer youths in porportion to the population, whearas more culturally conservative nations in Africa and South Asia have more. So what does it balance out to ?Do the majority of teenagers believe homosexuality is morally accetable?
One can only hope.Do the majority of teenagers believe homosexuality is morally accetable?
It'd probably be hard to measure worldwide. I don't know if people even have any idea how many youths are in rural Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Between the Muslim, African, and Asian countries, the world quota would probably come out against. I'm not really sure how you can compare the opinions of people with such drastically different educational levels, cultures, and living conditions, though. Who knows what kind of things youths in the Muslim countries have been told about gays, for example, or whether they actually have any personal experience interacting with homosexual people.
You mean worldwide?
I don't know actually.
You'd probably find most teenagers in the Americas, Europe, Australia %26amp; Pacific, and the modernized and westernized parts of Asia in favor. Africa, the Islamic world, and India would be against.
I'd say that most would be against, if only because of the large populations of africa, india, indonesia. If enough in China were supportive then that could push it the other way.
European and American pop culture have had a pretty big influence though, especially in the less religious parts of Asia.
I just turned 18 I'll be graduating in 2 weeks! I've noticed that a large portion of our younger generation either fully support homosexuals or just don't care one way or the other. There are also a lot more students who are openly gay and they don't really get picked on or anything they get treated like everyone else. Our generation is much more tolerant.
Also you've got to take into consideration the fact that in America John McCain was very much against gay rights and Barack Obama is very much in support of gay rights...Obama won the election....He won because he encouraged younger people to vote. Most of the older people that I know voted for McCain mainly for the simple fact that he was so opposed to same sex marriage.....Teens and college students are easily influenced by the media with icons such as Lindsey Lohan and Ellen Degeneres comming out with confidence. Being gay isn't such and abnormalty or unacceptable any more.
i seriously doubt it. mOst teens use '; gay '; as an insult these days
After years of gay activists attempting to enforce acceptance and '; celebration'; of gay '; culture'; on kids in schools a whole generation of kids has rebelled . Now they use gay as a negative word and there's not a damned thing anybody can do about it. The activists have ( by attempting to foist their views on youth by force) shot themselves in the foot and Guaranteed that another generation disapproves of them
to be honest. not to be racist or anything, but when i was in atlanta Georgia the black people where extremely homophobic. even the girls were . i wasn't openly gay but the people were just horrible. but when i moved to Massachusetts everyone was ok on gay people and the majority of people were white.
Sorry I dont have a poll but personal experience says yes. It is accepted at my school and ignorant people are looked down upon in certain groups. I think it varies more based on income than anything else.
A recent legitimate poll I recently saw stated that nationally, about 57% of people between the ages of 18-35 are in favor of gay marriage.
Well I approve not
that LGBT's needs my approval be
I do approve and I am christian.
And I think its fine.
No.Ask the douches in my school that make fun of me.
